How do you get young women to talk about sex and desires without making it awkward?

Research

We identified a 30% disparity in the frequency of orgasms experienced by women during intercourse with their partners, prompting an investigation into the underlying reasons. Our focus was primarily on heterosexual relationships, where this difference was most pronounced.

Our research uncovered that the issue often originated not from partners' lack of attentiveness, but rather from women's own unfamiliarity with their bodies, desires, and the ability to express them without discomfort. This led us to ponder: How could we create a safe environment for women to articulate their desires and needs?

We invested significant effort in exploring the visual aspects of the project, aiming to depict and discuss orgasms in a meaningful way. To achieve this, we conducted interviews and workshops, inviting participants to express their sensations of orgasm through painting or drawing. These submissions served as the cornerstone of our body-positive campaign on social media, crafted to foster open conversations about sex with a welcoming and upbeat tone.

Considerable time was devoted to creating mood boards and establishing an overarching vibe consistent with our research findings. To mirror the visual expression of the orgasms depicted in our workshops (and fortunately, we received a LOT!), we opted for predominantly hand-drawn or painted visual elements. This approach extended to our logo, initially crafted with black watercolor, then scanned and refined. Similarly, all minor elements underwent the process of hand drawing, scanning, and color correction to align with the original illustrations.
